Rokkai is an independent artist from home base Atlanta Ga, where there is and always will be so much talent coming out of the south. I came across Rokkai and his music when I heard his single called “The Shining” ft. TrendyKam, Ace Fontaine, Smiles and Vir7ual released back in September of 2025. The R&B, Rock, Rap inspired artist has plenty to offer on the music scene with a very diverse sound that can catch many different listeners.

Shinin was curated to be a highlight of individuals who I felt deserve to have that light they have Shining seen across the globe. Rokkai fit right into that narrative with his release of “The Shining” where he says “If I'm praying to God, I hope my blessings receive” once again getting back to what matters most that Faith we spoke about earlier on another post.

Recently Rokkai released a full-length project of 15 records titled “Aww snap” on November 14th, 2025, which you can stream from the music player above. Listening to the album one record that sparked my interest was “The good part” where Rokkai speaks about wishing he could skip to the good part, wishing some things could remain the same but he has to make changes while knowing everything will be ok.

In life anybody on any given day could wish that they can fast forward from where they are in life to the part of complete bliss, but in reality, what would you gain from that? In life the parts that are not as desirable as others are actually the most pivotable moments in one’s life journey in pursuit of happiness. learning and growing through it all prepares you for what’s to come. Making changes in one’s environments, perspectives, and or mindsets can change your trajectory.

“Scene 1” (Guest starring Satch Flipped it) kicks off the album, with a message to get out there and make things happen, which is monumental for anyone who has a dream, goal, and purpose. Time waits for no man,

The album ends off where we started with “The Shining” added to the track list, which is symbolic in way if you look at all the issues and roadblocks one might encounter along the way in the end somehow you still shine through the madness of the world, in a dark place the light God embedded in you still shines bright.
