Rolling Stones preview: Final Album "Foreign Tongues"

On May 5, 2026, the three surviving core members of the Rolling Stones—Mick Jagger, Keith Richards and Ronnie Wood—hosted a red‑carpet event at Brooklyn’s historic Weylin venue to celebrate the forthcoming release of their 25th studio album, “Foreign Tongues.” Reuters reported that the 14‑track collection will debut on July 10 and marks the band’s 64th anniversary. At the event, the Stones posed for photographs and took questions from talk‑show host Conan O’Brien, while fans got a sneak listen to the single “In the Stars” and the vinyl‑only track “Rough and Twisted,” released under their old pseudonym the Cockroaches.

The album represents the second studio outing for the Stones since drummer Charlie Watts died in 2021. Produced by Andrew Watt, “Foreign Tongues” features guest appearances by Paul McCartney, Steve Winwood, Robert Smith and Chad Smith. Critics have described early snippets as “a stomping, raucous blues belter” reminiscent of their classic 1972 record Exile on Main Street. With the band celebrating its 64th year and teasing more unused songs for future projects, the launch event underscored the Stones’ enduring influence and offered fans a glimpse of new music ahead of the album’s summer release
