Selune

Musical artist Andreea, better known as Selune to her musical community is an emerging artist from Romania who thrives with putting elements of life experiences and lifestyle in her music. The artist known as Selune has recently had her foot on the gas with releasing a handful of singles leading up to the summer. The first song that i heard from her is titled “Inca Nu” that has a dark R&B vibe, along with a nostalgic early 2000’s feel.

Not knowing how to speak Romanian and solely judging the record based off sound and the flow of the record i had to reach out to her to understand the meaning behind the record that has her fan base in a frenzy. Selune says “ pff that’s a lot to talk about, but in short its a song i wrote for someone i loved. I kind of wrote it because it was my way of getting closure. I didn’t get a chance to say everything i wanted to that person so i found a way basically by writing the song”.

She continues by stating “The title is Inca Nu, which means Not Yet, and in the chorus I’m saying to the person basically that I am still not able to forget about them. And basically how i felt about them, that’s a very personal song and sometimes i am like this, sometimes when I don’t have the balls to talk to someone or i don’t get that chance anymore, I am writing a song about how i feel” as she laughs!

Recently outside of “Inca Nu” Selune has released “Sezi, fa”, “Madamme La Flamme”, and “Ain’t Got Time, Kid” showcasing the versatility she has with her musical talents. Selune says “Its important to mention that not all of my songs are personal like Inca Nu, but for sure all of them are based on real and raw feelings and situations and mostly yea, real life”. When asked about her up bringing and how she got started with music, she says “ I am from Romania and i started making music since i was a kid basically…. finished the music high school, and idk it mostly was like lifestyle

With much more music on the horizion for Selune, i look forward to seeing how she progresses over time in her music journey. Id say she is doing well for herself at this point in time in her career, she even has a community that has joined her private channel including myself to stay up to date with new music, releases, and unreleased tracks but the emerging artist. In regards to her music i asked Selune what is he biggest thin she would like for her followers and fans to take away from the music and she said “ Honestly, I just want people to feel understood when they listen to my music. A lot of my favorite artists made me feel less alone at different points in my life, like someone actually understood the things i couldn’t explain myself. I’d love for my music to give that same feeling to someone else.”
